The Foundational Concepts of the Integrated Self Model
The basic premise of the Integrated Self Model is that challenges in life are natural and normal as part of the human experience. Hardships and challenges encourage movement and growth as we are drawn toward reconnection and reintegration with Source. This does not take away from the weight and heaviness of these struggles or discount any experience, but it provides a perspective that challenges in life are the ultimate catalyst for growth. During our lives, we have struggles and imbalances between our Ego and Soul that cause considerable stress, struggle, and obstacles all bringing us toward a reconnection and reintegration with Source.

The Foundational Pillars of the Integrated Self Model
1. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
2. We consist of and exist as both human Ego and human Soul, and both are equally important to and an integral part of our human-spirit experience.
3. The Ego and the Soul are manifestations/creations of Spirit as the human Self.
4. Life is a series of choices, and we define ourselves (our personal identities as Ego and Soul) by the choices we make.
5. We strengthen, challenge, or change our personal identities with each and every choice we make.
6. We create/select a new identity when a threshold of supporting choices is reached.
7. Opportunities for choice and change are presented through our chosen human experiences, human intervention, Divine Intervention, and Divine Inspiration.
8. Our Level of Consciousness of Source (The Divine) and the human experience directly affects our human perception of stress, struggle, conflict, and angst.
9. We strive for Ego Actualization and Soul Actualization, which are dynamic, incremental, constant, and ever-changing expressions of Self through our choices.
10. Ego Actualization and Soul Actualization may occur simultaneously and progress at different rates; however, we may choose to focus on one or the other or both at times.
11. The Ego must be balanced and integrated with The Soul (as the holistic expression of Self) to reduce stress and struggle and maximize the human-spirit experience.
12. Our ultimate goal is for Divine Actualization; that is, to rejoin or reintegrate with The Divine. Most of us only achieve this through physical death in this lifetime.
